Waylight is looking for compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of clients with Parkinson’s disease. Waylight is a non-medical home care agency committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through compassionate and personalized care.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Aid clients with companion and personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers
- Assist clients with active and passive mobility exercises as defined by the care plan and document changes to the Care Services Manager
- Provide companionship and emotional support during the shift
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Monitor the client for any changes in condition and report to the Care Services Manager
- Adhere to company on-going training policies to ensure consistent growth and learning for Caregivers, both experienced and new to caregiving
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Physical ability to assist with mobility and transfers as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull
- Must be able to assist clients with varying weight needs, ensuring proper and safe transfer techniques
- Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance with a reliable vehicle
- Adherence to HIPAA guidelines and maintenance of client confidentiality
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong commitment to client care
- Flexibility to work various shifts, which may include mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays based on client needs

Waylight is seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers with experience serving clients with Parkinson’s to join our team and make a meaningful impact on the life of an elderly male client with an advanced stage of Parkinson’s.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Assist the client with nighttime bathroom visits.
- Ensure the client’s safety and comfort throughout the night.
- Monitor the client for any changes in condition and report to the Care Services Manager.
- Provide companionship and emotional support during the shift.
- Schedule:
- Weekdays: 6pm – 9am (overnights)
- Weekends: 24-hour care (days/nights/overnights)
- Must be able to work 30-40 hours consistently
- Overtime opportunities are available if desired
- Competitive pay based on experience
Requirements:
- Must be able to assist the client with personal care needs, such as assisting going to the restroom at various times throughout the evening, assist with walker and if they choose to walk independently, and getting in/out of bed.
- Caregiving experience preferred.

Job Title: Caregiver for Elderly Male Client
Location: Clinton Township

Position Overview:
Waylight is seeking a compassionate and experienced Caregiver to join our team in Clinton Township. This role involves providing care for an elderly male client in his nineties who requires daily support, including personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Ostomy Bag Care: Cleaning and changing the client’s ostomy bag regularly.
- Mobility Assistance: Help the client move around the house with guidance and support.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt and remind the client to take his medications as prescribed (Caregivers are not responsible for administering medications).
- Personal Care: Assist with showers, bathing, and dressing.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe environment in the client’s living space.
- Meal Preparation and Feeding: Prepare meals, assist with feeding, and clean up afterward.
- Hydration and Nutrition Encouragement: Motivate and remind the client to drink fluids and eat meals regularly.
- Transportation and Errands: As needed, to provide the client to social events, community activities, and visits to a girlfriend’s house in St. Clair Shores, using the client’s vehicle.
- Companionship: Engage with the client in conversation and provide emotional support.
- Vitals Monitoring: Regularly take and monitor the client’s vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen level
Schedule:
- Friday – Sunday: 2:30pm – 8:30pm
- Competitive pay based on experience
Requirements:
- Experience in caregiving, particularly with elderly clients, is preferred.
- Must be able to assist with personal care needs, including restroom assistance and mobility support.
- Has internet connection for company specific trainings.
- Physical capability to assist with transfers, including the ability to lift up to 150 pounds.
- Valid auto insurance and the ability to drive the client’s vehicle for transportation needs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
- Strong adherence to HIPAA guidelines, maintaining strict client confidentiality.
- Effective communication skills in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
- Must successfully pass a criminal/background check.
